Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasized the need for a more stable multipolar world order, linking the current global security crisis to bloc confrontation and efforts by some nations to secure unilateral advantages. Speaking at the Valdai Discussion Club’s 23rd annual meeting, Putin advocated for resolving the Ukraine conflict through negotiations and compromise, rather than seeking a decisive victory for either party.
Putin argued that the existing unipolar international system is transitioning toward a multipolar framework. He called for enhanced cooperation among countries to establish a more stable international system, expressing Russia’s readiness to collaborate with other nations to achieve this goal. The Russian leader stressed that such cooperation should be based on the interests of different countries, pointing out the necessity of Ukraine remaining neutral post-conflict.
In a related development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first combat deployment of Ukraine’s domestically developed FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. While Zelenskyy did not specify the target or location of the missile’s use, he confirmed that Ukraine is moving toward production of this new military technology.
