Fresh off its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has released its first teaser, building significant buzz for its upcoming release. The preview showcases Daniel Craig’s anticipated return as detective Benoit Blanc for a third thrilling adventure.
The plot centers on a case Blanc calls his most challenging yet: an “impossible crime” involving the murder of a priest (Josh Brolin) during a church service. The teaser promises a film filled with the suspense, drama, and clever writing that has become the hallmark of Rian Johnson’s popular mystery series.
The film features a stunning cast, with Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, and more joining the franchise. In a stylistic update, Daniel Craig’s Blanc has adopted a new look with longer hair and a three-piece suit, distinguishing this film from its predecessors, Knives Out and Glass Onion.
Following its September 6th TIFF premiere, the film is set for a dual release strategy. It will first hit select theaters on November 26th, giving audiences a chance to experience it on the big screen, before it launches globally on Netflix on December 12th.
