Putin Denies Russian Preparations for Conflict Amid Ongoing Ukraine Strikes

by admin477351

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that Russia is not gearing up for a conflict with Europe, addressing concerns from European NATO members regarding potential threats to alliance territories. Putin emphasized that Russia sees no justification for escalating tensions with European nations and dismissed allegations that Moscow is preparing for hostilities.

In his remarks, Putin also mentioned that Russia is deliberating on whether to resume peace talks with Ukraine, following recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory. He indicated that Moscow would carefully evaluate its next actions before deciding on a possible return to negotiations.

Despite these statements, Russian airstrikes across Ukraine persist, leading to casualties and significant damage to both civilian and industrial infrastructure. A recent attack in Kyiv resulted in the death of seven individuals, including a 14-year-old boy, and left dozens injured.

In response to the ongoing strikes, ArcelorMittal has announced the closure of operations at Ukraine’s largest steel plant after repeated Russian attacks damaged the facility and resulted in worker fatalities. This development contributes to the mounting economic challenges Ukraine faces as the war continues.
