Leading the Saudi delegation, Abdullah Al-Swaha, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, along with Haytham Al-Ohali, the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, engaged in discussions that revolved around artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and digital infrastructure. The conversations were aimed at fostering innovation, bolstering the digital economy, and furthering Saudi Arabia’s aspirations of positioning itself as a global leader in artificial intelligence.
Moreover, the talks extended to improving digital government services, with particular emphasis on forging partnerships in unified government platforms, digital identity systems, and leveraging AI to enhance public service delivery. This included potential collaborations between Saudi Arabia’s Digital Government Authority and South Korea’s Ministry of the Interior, highlighting a mutual interest in advancing digital governance.
Furthering their agenda, Minister Al-Swaha also met with the founder and CEO of APL Ventures. Their discussions centered on investment opportunities, supporting Saudi startups, and strategies to expand their reach into international markets, thereby attracting technology investments into Saudi Arabia.
